OWNRYDE INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS POLICY
Version 2.0 — Effective January 2026
This Insurance Requirements Policy (“Policy”) outlines insurance-related responsibilities for Drivers using the OwnRyde Platform (“Platform”), operated by OwnRyde, Inc. (“OwnRyde,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
OwnRyde operates a technology platform that connects Riders with independent Drivers.
OwnRyde does not provide transportation services and does not provide insurance coverage for Drivers, Riders, vehicles, or transportation activities unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
1. Driver Insurance Responsibility
Drivers are solely responsible for maintaining all insurance coverage required by applicable:
- Local laws
- State laws
- Federal laws
- Regulatory or licensing requirements
Drivers must ensure that insurance coverage:
- Remains valid and active at all times while using the Platform
- Covers the vehicle being used
- Meets legally required minimum coverage limits
- Complies with applicable transportation-related insurance requirements where applicable
Drivers are solely responsible for understanding the type and amount of insurance required for their transportation activities.
2. No Insurance Provided by OwnRyde
OwnRyde does not provide:
- Commercial automobile insurance
- Rideshare insurance
- Liability insurance
- Collision coverage
- Vehicle damage coverage
- Medical payments coverage
- Personal injury protection
- Workers’ compensation coverage
- Uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage
- General commercial liability coverage
Transportation services are independently provided by Drivers under their own insurance policies and legal responsibility.
3. Proof of Insurance
Drivers may be required to:
- Upload proof of insurance
- Provide updated insurance documentation
- Verify policy status
- Submit additional compliance documentation
OwnRyde reserves the right to:
- Review insurance documentation
- Request updated records
- Restrict Platform access
- Suspend or terminate Driver access for missing, expired, invalid, or insufficient insurance documentation
Failure to maintain required insurance may result in immediate suspension or removal from the Platform.
4. Insurance Verification
OwnRyde may use third-party providers or verification services to:
- Review insurance documentation
- Verify policy status
- Monitor compliance information
- Conduct periodic verification checks
Verification does not guarantee:
- Coverage adequacy
- Policy validity
- Claims approval
- Legal compliance
- Future policy status
Drivers remain solely responsible for maintaining compliant insurance coverage at all times.
5. Accidents, Claims & Incidents
In the event of an accident, injury, property damage, or transportation-related incident, Drivers are solely responsible for:
- Reporting incidents to their insurance providers
- Cooperating with insurance investigations
- Handling claims and disputes
- Complying with legal reporting obligations
- Managing defense or liability matters arising from transportation activities
OwnRyde is not responsible for:
- Insurance claims
- Claims handling
- Coverage disputes
- Denied claims
- Deductibles
- Vehicle repairs
- Legal defense costs
- Transportation-related liabilities
6. Rider Acknowledgment
Riders acknowledge that:
- Transportation services are independently provided by Drivers
- Drivers operate under their own insurance policies
- OwnRyde does not provide transportation insurance coverage for Riders
- OwnRyde does not guarantee Driver insurance coverage, claim approval, or transportation outcomes
7. Compliance with Laws
Drivers are responsible for:
- Understanding applicable insurance requirements
- Maintaining required licenses and permits
- Complying with transportation-related regulations
- Complying with insurance obligations in jurisdictions where they operate
OwnRyde does not provide legal or insurance advice.
Drivers should consult qualified insurance professionals or legal advisors regarding coverage requirements.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OwnRyde shall not be liable for:
- Insurance disputes
- Coverage denials
- Claims processing issues
- Policy cancellations
- Insufficient coverage
- Transportation-related losses
- Injuries or accidents
- Property damage
- Vehicle damage
- Legal expenses
- Financial losses arising from transportation activities
Drivers assume all risks associated with transportation services conducted through or related to the Platform.
9. Policy Updates
OwnRyde may modify this Policy at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised policies.

By using the Platform as a Driver, you acknowledge and agree that:

- Transportation activities are performed independently by you
- OwnRyde does not provide transportation-related insurance coverage
- You accept the responsibilities described in this Policy
