OWNRYDE LOST & FOUND POLICY
Version 2.0 — Effective January 2026
This Lost & Found Policy (“Policy”) applies to all users of the OwnRyde Platform (“Platform”), including Riders and Drivers (“Users,” “you,” or “your”).
OwnRyde, Inc. (“OwnRyde,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a technology platform that connects Riders with independent Drivers.
OwnRyde does not provide transportation services and does not take possession, custody, or control of personal property left in vehicles.
1. Independent Responsibility
Transportation services are independently provided by Drivers.
Personal belongings left in a vehicle remain the responsibility of the Rider and Driver involved in the trip.
OwnRyde does not:
- Store lost property
- Transport lost items
- Take custody of personal belongings
- Guarantee recovery of items
2. Reporting a Lost Item
If a Rider believes an item was left in a vehicle, the Rider should:
- Report the lost item through available support or reporting channels as soon as possible
- Provide a detailed description of the item
- Provide relevant trip information
- Provide contact information where appropriate
OwnRyde may facilitate limited communication between Riders and Drivers to assist with recovery efforts where feasible.
3. Driver Cooperation
Drivers are encouraged to:
- Check vehicles for reported items
- Respond reasonably to lost item inquiries
- Coordinate return arrangements professionally and safely
Drivers are not required to:
- Deliver items personally
- Ship items
- Travel unreasonable distances
- Store property indefinitely
Return arrangements are handled directly between Riders and Drivers unless otherwise required by law.
4. Return Arrangements & Fees
Return of lost items is arranged solely between the Rider and Driver.
Riders may be responsible for:
- Shipping costs
- Delivery costs
- Mailing expenses
- Reasonable return-related expenses
- Return trip fees where applicable
Any payment arrangements related to returning property are handled independently between Users unless otherwise facilitated by the Platform.
5. No Liability for Lost Property
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OwnRyde is not responsible for:
- Lost items
- Stolen property
- Damaged belongings
- Unreturned items
- Delayed returns
- Disputes regarding ownership
- Property left in vehicles
- Actions or omissions of Users
OwnRyde does not guarantee recovery or return of any property.
Users assume responsibility for monitoring and securing personal belongings during transportation services.
6. Unclaimed Property
Drivers are responsible for handling unclaimed property in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where they operate.
OwnRyde does not assume custody or ownership of abandoned or unclaimed items.
7. Dangerous or Illegal Items
If a Driver discovers dangerous, unlawful, or suspicious items, the Driver should:
- Follow applicable laws
- Avoid unsafe handling
- Contact appropriate authorities where necessary
OwnRyde may cooperate with law enforcement where legally required.
8. Platform Assistance
OwnRyde may provide:
- Reporting tools
- Limited communication assistance
- Support channels
- Incident documentation systems
However, OwnRyde cannot guarantee:
- Driver response
- Item recovery
- Item condition
- Return arrangements
- User cooperation
9. Policy Updates
OwnRyde may modify this Policy at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised policies.

Acceptance
By using the Platform, you acknowledge and agree that:
- OwnRyde is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property
- Transportation services are independently provided by Drivers
- Recovery arrangements are handled between Riders and Drivers
- OwnRyde does not guarantee recovery or return of personal belongings
