OWNRYDE ACCESSIBILITY & NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

This Accessibility & Non-Discrimination Policy (“Policy”) applies to all users of the OwnRyde Platform (“Platform”), including Riders, Drivers, and other users (“Users,” “you,” or “your”).
OwnRyde, Inc. (“OwnRyde,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a technology platform that connects Riders with independent Drivers.
OwnRyde is committed to promoting equal access, respectful treatment, and non-discriminatory participation within the Platform.
1. Commitment to Accessibility
OwnRyde strives to improve accessibility and usability for all users, including individuals with disabilities.
We aim to:
- Promote equal access to Platform features
- Improve digital accessibility where reasonably possible
- Support fair participation within the Platform
- Encourage respectful and inclusive experiences
Accessibility efforts may evolve over time as the Platform develops.
2. Non-Discrimination Policy
Discrimination, harassment, or unequal treatment based on protected characteristics is strictly prohibited.
Protected characteristics may include:
- Race
- Color
- Ethnicity
- National origin
- Religion
- Gender
- Gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Disability
- Age
- Marital status
- Veteran status
- Citizenship status where protected by law
- Any other characteristic protected by applicable law
Users may not:
- Refuse service unlawfully
- Harass or intimidate others
- Use discriminatory language
- Engage in discriminatory conduct
- Treat users unfairly based on protected characteristics
Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the Platform.
3. Accessibility Responsibilities
Drivers are responsible for complying with applicable accessibility and non-discrimination laws.
Where required by law, Drivers may be expected to:
- Provide service without unlawful discrimination
- Reasonably accommodate Riders with disabilities
- Transport mobility devices that can reasonably fit within the vehicle
- Comply with service animal requirements
- Avoid discriminatory conduct or refusal of service
Drivers remain independent contractors and are solely responsible for complying with applicable legal obligations.
4. Service Animals
Riders with disabilities may travel with service animals where permitted by applicable law.
Drivers may not refuse transportation solely because a Rider is accompanied by a lawful service animal where prohibited by law.
Users are expected to handle service animal situations respectfully and professionally.
5. Digital Accessibility
OwnRyde may work to improve:
- App usability
- Text readability
- Navigation accessibility
- Screen compatibility
- User interface accessibility
Accessibility features may vary depending on:
- Device type
- Operating system
- Third-party services
- Platform capabilities
OwnRyde does not guarantee uninterrupted accessibility functionality across all devices or technologies.
6. Reporting Concerns
Users may report:
- Accessibility concerns
- Discrimination
- Harassment
- Accessibility barriers
- Policy violations
Reports may be submitted through available support or reporting channels.
OwnRyde may review reports and take actions including:
- Warnings
- Account restrictions
- Temporary suspension
- Permanent removal
7. Enforcement
OwnRyde reserves the right to:
- Investigate reported violations
- Restrict Platform access
- Suspend accounts
- Permanently remove Users
- Enforce Platform policies
Enforcement decisions may be made to protect:
- User rights
- User safety
- Platform integrity
- Legal compliance
OwnRyde’s decisions regarding Platform access and enforcement are final to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. No Guarantee of Conduct
While OwnRyde establishes Platform standards and policies, OwnRyde cannot guarantee:
- User conduct
- Accessibility outcomes
- Transportation outcomes
- Compliance by independent Drivers
Transportation services are independently provided by Drivers.
Users remain responsible for exercising personal judgment and complying with applicable laws.
9. Policy Updates
OwnRyde may modify this Policy at any time.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised policies.
